Xanthippe was having a panic attack.

Okay, no she wasn't. But it felt like the brink of one? Because she was on the sidewalk outside the building she lived in now, waiting for Hyacinthe, and up - way, way up - in her apartment she had stuff ready for his visit and a couple of gifts because maybe this'd be the last time before he finally went home, and what if he didn't like anything and what if she was a huge loser and what if --

Anyway. Outwardly, she was mostly cool? Just... standing there, beanie on her head and a coat on over her dress, fidgeting with her phone for lack of a better thing to do with her hands. She looked fine.

But she was going to internally flail herself to death if he didn't get here soon.

[ooc: NFB and for the one mentioned!]

Xanthippe was officially Stressed Out.

It was all over an essay, which wasn't even due until next Friday, but it was important and she had to get it perfect, because what if she didn't? What if she didn't, and she flunked out of the class, and she flunked right out of college, and her father would disown her and her mother would disown her and then she would have to move in with Kimmy and deal with that whole freak show and she would lose all status and purpose in life and probably, like, end up becoming BFFs with Kimmy's extra-weirdo landlady and getting matching tattoos in a crack den and --

Anyway, yeah, she was currently doing what any self-respecting college student would do in her situation: screaming into a pillow.

Thank Christ her roommates weren't home right now.

[ooc: NFB but open for texts/calls/surprise visits!]
sampippy: ([neu] Totes hot surfer.)
What was a girl to do when her first year of college was about a week away from being over and she was desperate for one last boost in coolness in the eyes of her peers (namely, her three roommates)? Why, obviously the answer was to invite a guy over! Specifically, a guy she'd slept with like a year ago and who she - let's face it - barely knew aside from that. But he was impressive! Or at least impressively hot, and, also he was nice even if Xanthippe was loathe to admit that was a positive quality in anyone.

So she'd invited Hyacinthe over for a visit. And she'd gone and picked him up on the edge of campus and walked him through it and now they were here, right outside her dorm. It was one of those imposing brown brick buildings, old as rocks and heavy with history.

The sign outside said VOORHEES HALL.

"So, yeah," she said, looking up at the building. At her side, her fingers were fidgeting with the edge of her overly lengthy sleeve. "This is where I live now."

In a building with her last name on it.

[ooc: NFB due to distance, and for the boy mentioned!]
sampippy: ([pos] Flirting awkwardly.)
There'd been a warehouse, and a drink, and flirting, and somehow all of that had not led to Xanthippe blowing this whole situation and embarrassing herself into taking the earliest possible portal out of Fandom or something.

In fact, instead, it had led her here.

Outside room 416. They'd passed by her room because there was no way she was adding the possibility of Ringo into this equation. She was nervous enough as it was.

And trying to hide it. Right now, with a casual hair-toss. "So, this is your room? I didn't realize you lived so, like, close to me."

[ooc: For the guy, for SP, and probably NSFW-bound unless Xan flails herself out of it before then!]
