Xanthippe was having a panic attack.

Okay, no she wasn't. But it felt like the brink of one? Because she was on the sidewalk outside the building she lived in now, waiting for Hyacinthe, and up - way, way up - in her apartment she had stuff ready for his visit and a couple of gifts because maybe this'd be the last time before he finally went home, and what if he didn't like anything and what if she was a huge loser and what if --

Anyway. Outwardly, she was mostly cool? Just... standing there, beanie on her head and a coat on over her dress, fidgeting with her phone for lack of a better thing to do with her hands. She looked fine.

But she was going to internally flail herself to death if he didn't get here soon.

Hyacinthe buried his face in the hair at the back of her neck, breathing in the scent of her skin. "I've missed you too," he murmured. "Not just the way it feels to be buried inside you--" though Blessed Elua, had he missed that, too "--but you."

"I know." Somehow, she did. Maybe it was the phone calls they'd been making, lately. Sure, those were predictable in getting dirty, but that wasn't all they were.

"Me too." One unsteady hand came off the wall to try and tug one of his arms more firmly around her. "I mean, not just the sex --" Although, yes, Jesus, she had missed that too. "-- but just... you."

With his easy touches and illegally comfortable presence.

Hyacinthe groaned and pushed away, sliding out of her. But she barely had a moment to regret his distance before he was pulling her to him, wrapping her in his arms and clasping her to his chest. "You are my friend, Xanthippe. Before anything else and after it, too. Even did I never get a chance to taste you again - and my life would be poorer for it - you would be important to me."

Xanthippe leaned against him pretty hard, and pretty much immediately. Greedy, like she had been on the street.

Her eyes were shut tight again.

"Yeah. You're my friend, too." The best one, actually, but she didn't dare say that.

"Though I must admit, I like the way our friendship involves a great deal of naked time," Hyacinthe said lightly, nuzzling her neck.

Xanthippe huffed out a quiet laugh.

"That's, like... most of the time." It seemed like they were actually uncharacteristically clothed right now.

"I know, 'tis delightful," Hyacinthe said, gently leading her over to a couch where they could snuggle.

Xanthippe's apartment was kind of ridiculously spacious, but it still wasn't a very long trek to the couch. Which was also, yes, kind of ridiculously big and luxurious. And super soft, though right now Xanthippe would probably flopped down on it just as easily even if it hadn't been.

"You're delightful."

"Ahh, I know the correct response for this!" Hyacinthe said, with a grin. "Nay, your face is delightful."

And to prove it, he was leaning down to kiss her. Soft, this time, and very sweet.

Xan responded in kind, both soft and sweet as well as still very eager to kiss him. To linger in the feel of it.

Her hand ended up in his hair almost straight away.

Hyacinthe leaned back, pulling Xanthippe on top of him. They were both still overdressed, but the soft kisses were too nice to interrupt.

At least Xanthippe was just an unzipped dress and an unclasped bra away from being the appropriate amount dressed. But she didn't seem to be in a hurry to change that, either.

Not when she was so busy acting like she was going to just melt onto him, letting her weight rest against him as she kept kissing him. Sweet, and slow.

Hyacinthe's hands were busy attempting to divest her of her clothing anyway, slowly pulling the tab of the zipper down, sliding his hands over her skin to push the fabric ever downward. His pants were still open, hanging halfway down his hips, his shirt rucked up to show the smoothly-muscled planes of his stomach.

"We shall have to spend some time, just like this," he murmured. "Holding you to me as the world goes on its merry way."

Xanthippe tried resting her forehead against his for a second, exhaling a breath. "But I thought you might want a tour of the apartment," she murmured, amused somehow.

Just like she'd thought they might want something from the deli for their pizza.

"I do believe I need to catch a breath before we move onto the next section of the tour," Hya teased. "Or did you not wish me to make you scream in each room we visit?"

Just how big was this apartment anyway?

The living room they were in was huge. So were her bedroom, the kitchen, the dining room, and the bathroom.

And also the balcony.

Xanthippe snickered. "No, wait, sorry, I do wish that," she said. "Just hadn't thought of it that way. My bad."

Regardless of size of the individual rooms, that was still five more bouts - six, since they'd mostly christened the entryway, rather than the living room proper.

Hya was already looking forward to it.

"Now I know to be dreadfully disappointed," he declared. "For I have thought of nothing but."

"You're the worst," Xanthippe informed him, very seriously. So seriously. You could tell by the chuckle. "Anyway, I didn't say I've never thought about it! 'Cause, you know that's not true."

Well, at least she'd shared a few dirty thoughts over those phone calls, because they'd always made her feel like the apartment was kind of lonely in its distinct lack of him.

"Just, I didn't think about it now." Or at such all-encompassing a scale, anyway. "Maybe you should share some of your thoughts."

"Already?" Hyacinthe asked, slyly. "I think you should feed me first, woman." He slapped her ass and grinned. "I may have eaten a great deal recently, but I still find myself famished."

Xanthippe yelped quietly at the slap, just out of surprise. The snicker that immediately followed probably made it clear she didn't mind it.

"Is that so?" she asked. "What are you hoping your hostess is gonna provide for you?"

"Something filling and full of protein," Hyacinthe said, giving her a cheerful leer. "That I may keep up my strength for the rest of the day while attending to your every illicit need."

He posed for her, showing off the lithe muscles in his arms.

"You're ridiculous," Xanthippe informed him. While running her fingers down one of those arms. Working at the carnival had clearly worked for him.

Anyway, she shook her head, like she was shaking that thought away. "There's a Thai place that delivers like three blocks away." She'd... sort of given up on the pizza plan, for now. And anyway, it was going to be a long day, and they could get back to that.

"I am willing to try Thai."

Like most young men, Hyacinthe had yet to find a cuisine that he didn't like, so long as it was plentiful.

"Unless you actually meant ties. In which case...I am willing to try that, too."

Was he getting cheesier with every visit? Xan was pretty sure he was.

"I knew I should've bought you a gag, like, oh my God," Xanthippe told him with an amused eye roll, already pulling herself off him so she could go find her phone. It was in her coat, which was... probably discarded by the door.

Just like her dress was about to be, right here on the floor. He'd already peeled it halfway off her, anyway.

He was feeling more and more comfortable, it seemed.

Hyacinthe took advantage of her momentary absence to remove the rest of his clothing and then once more lounged on the couch, taking up as much room as possible with his lanky frame. Is Xanthippe wished to be comfortable, she would needs recline on him to do so - which pleased him to no end.

"Shall I come up with a signale, then?" he asked lazily. "That you may indulge in your whims of ties and gags?"
